Step-by-step guide

How to generate your prompts

The full workflow in 6 steps, from project setup to final export.

  1. Step 1

    Set up your project

Fill in your brand, market, personas and competitors. This information frames every prompt that will be generated.

  2. Step 2

    Import your sources

Sitemap, keyword list, Google Search Console export or manual entry, combine freely to cover your topic.

  3. Step 3

Enrich with PAA / PASF and semantic fingerprint

Extend each selection with the real questions people ask and the semantic analysis of your pages.

Always do this: after a PAA enrichment or a semantic fingerprint, review the theme pool and uncheck anything too generic or off-topic. Only checked themes are used at generation time, so this 30-second cleanup clearly improves batch quality.

  4. Step 4

    Configure generation

Choose the branded share, intents, topics, style instructions and pool of themes to use.

  5. Step 5

    Generate your prompt batch

Run generation. GEOPromptly assembles personas × intents × topics combinations and flags near-duplicates.

  6. Step 6

    Export as CSV / JSON

Download your batch as CSV or JSON, ready to plug into your testing tools.

How is the number of items computed?

The "Selected items" counter aggregates sources of different kinds: keywords and URLs count 1-for-1, while an active theme in the Pool expands into as many items as it contains questions.

  • 1 keyword imported manually or via GSC = 1 item
  • 1 sitemap URL = 1 item
  • 1 active theme in the Pool of themes = as many items as the questions it contains (a theme enriched via PAA/PASF usually groups several real questions)
Example: 6 imported keywords + 3 active themes (6 questions each) = 6 + (3 × 6) = 24 selected items.

The number of generated prompts then depends on the "Prompts per item" setting: 24 items × 2 prompts/item = 48 prompts in total.
